Octber, 25th, 2012 Difference in Traffic Signs

Hi this is Gokaichi. Maybe due to my job as an interaction designer, I love watching signs in town. During my stay at San Diego, I very much enjoyed watching traffic signs that I never see in Japan. (Weird?)

A good example would be this. The parking time is specifically written on the edge of the sidewalk. This is not something I see back in Japan. The local people have told me that different color is used for different time limit. Would this be popular in countries outside of the US as well? The signs like these do become food for thought for me, because my job is to guide the users to learn how to use product as easily as possible. The trip inspired me to learn more about foreign cultures. But in order to do so, I need to learn different language again. (Sigh) See You!
