March, 28th, 2013 New Writers

Hi, this is Gokaichi. The two writers, Aki and I, will be passing our torches to the next bloggers from next month. We'd like to extend our gratitude to our visitors for reading our articles.

After about ten months of using million moments, my bookshelf became like this. I might want to increase the number of albums since the number of labels increased with app update.

The new writers will be posting their articles from next post. Please look forward to the articles and stories posted by our new writers.

March 25th, 2013 Cherry blossoms

Hi. I feel the arrival of spring season as the weather in Tokyo is getting gradually warmer.

In the early spring, cherry blossoms will be in full bloom.
The cherry blossoms are one of the very first things that come to Japanese people’s minds when they feel the arrival of spring.

In Japan, fiscal year and school year begins in April, so cherry blossoms remind me of both partings with my good friends and meetings with new friends.

Talking of “partings”, this post will be the last one from me. Gokaichi will touch on the new authors in his next post.

Thank you all for reading my posts, and I hope you will continue to enjoy using million moments.

Thanks once again, and au revoir :)
Aki

March, 21th, 2013 A new invention -Fridge Board!

Hi, this is Gokaichi. My wife's friend has purchased a new refrigerator, and has given her old one to us. (Thanks!) The refrigerator that came to our home was very standard one. Looking at it, I felt short on fun, so I decided to let my imagination go free. The outcome is a refrigerator with blackboard-paint painted over it.

The refrigerator turned into a blackboard. My kids are having fun drawing things with chalks and attaching magnets. The rough drawings add good flavor to the refrigerator.

Actually, I was a bit concerned on how it would turn out, but after all, it became a very cool home appliance. Making an equipment original is a way to add value to it, isn't it? See you!

March 18th, 2013 Cooking + million moments

Hi, it’s Aki.

I found some cooking photos in my photo storage, so I put them into my million moments album.

Beans curry and Samosa (Indian pastry).

Taking photos while cooking is difficult, but they add different “taste” to my album.

March, 14th, 2013 White Day

Hi, this is Gokaichi. There is a unique day in Japan which we call "White Day". It is 14th of March, and on this day, men are supposed to give sweets to women. Well, here it is. Today is the day.

There are the photos taken on last year's White day. Next year, my son will be three years old. Maybe then, I can make some sweets with him. That would be awesome. See you!

March 11th, 2013 Two years

As a Japanese citizen, I would like to commemorate the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. And also, I would like to thank you all for supporting Japan after the earthquake.

Some of my distant relatives have lost their home by that catastrophe, though they are fortunately safe and sound.
I’m hoping for the early recovery of the afflicted area.

(The photos above are of Tokyo Sky Tree, a tower that has been completed just after the earthquake and regarded as a symbol of our hope.)

March, 7th, 2013 We've attended Mobile World Congress 2013

Hi, this is Gokaichi. We have exhibited our app at Mobile World Congress 2013 held at Barcelona end of last month. To be exact, my colleagues did, not me. (Wish I could visit Barcelona too...)

We gave demo by shooting the images of the visitors who came to our booth, and we were able to enjoy good feedbacks from them. We'd like to attend more events, as the feedbacks we receive from the participants are very insightful and valuable to us. See you!

March 4th, 2013 Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival)

Hi, it’s Aki.

March 3rd is a special day called “Hinamatsuri” or Doll Festival in Japan. For Hinamatsuri we set up dolls that represent the emperor, empress and their servants.
It’s one of Japanese seasonal festivals, and on that day we celebrate girls’ health and growth.

Here is my daughter’s first Hinamatsuri a few years back. I can’t believe she was so little.

When you want to look back photos taken long ago, the slider below your album will let you go back the pages easily and quickly.
