October 29th, 2012 Autumn leaves

Hi everyone, thank you all once again for participating in our million moments photo competition.

I’ve been sharing with you the photos from the competition lately, but today, I’d like to go back to million moments app and share with you some pages created by the app.

The theme for today is “autumn leaves”. In Japan we enjoy watching the leaves change their colors as the weather turns cold. I can’t resist showing off to you some great shots taken here in Japan in autumn.

From next week onwards, I will be bringing to you the tips on how to make the most out of million moments again.

Note: The screen shots of iOS version are used in this post. The images may slightly different for the Android version.

This beautiful sea was taken by @Pandjieholic in Indonesia.

I love how @Sarath_sivarock captured the silhouettes.

October, 18th, 2012 photo comp: Gokaichi's picks

Hi, this is Gokaichi. I'm also enjoying watching photos uploaded to twitter to participate in our million moments photo competition. Just as Aki did, I'd also like to share with you my favorite works.

@nozonozno Whatta cute fluffy dogs! I'd love to play with them.

@virtualtony This photo has taste. The technique of adding blurred plant in the foreground is quite nice too.

@agoonergamble A little child and a baby, how can we ignore such an amazingly adorable pair! I won't be able to resist clicking shutter button too.

The competition continues until 23rd of October. The competition is targeting people living in the US and EU countries, but all of you living in other countries are also welcome to upload your favorite moment too. Be sure to follow @millionmoments and to mention @millionmoments with #MyMoment2012. I look forward to seeing your photos. See you!

October 15th, 2012 The new update has come / is coming!

We are seeing a lot of excellent entries to our photo competition that’s going on right now, but meanwhile, I’d like share with you something equally important – the new update for the app!

The new update of million moments for Android is now available, and the iOS version is now in review. In this post, I’d like to share with you the good additional features newly supported in the update.

1.Swipe a picture to see the previous/next one

You can enlarge a picture in an album by tapping it. The new update allows you to see the next or the previous picture in this mode simply by swiping the picture sideways.

2.Clear your labels at once

We added a new function that allows you to remove a designated label all at once from your albums. In your setting menu, select a label, and then tap “Remove labels” to take that label away. Naturally, the album under the name of that label will be removed also.

3.Change the date of the pictures

When you wish to change the date of a picture, you can now do so by enlarging that picture, tapping the “edit” icon and then tapping “Date taken.” This allows you to change the date of the picture that appears in your album.

I hope you liked our improvements. Please update you million moments, and enjoy the new features!

Note: The screen shots of Android version are used in this post. The images may slightly be different for the iOS version.

@SethCritchley took a photo of katsudon (pork cutlet on rice). Wow it looks so delicious!

@Silver_Waters photographed his or her son’s first challenge on the skate ramp. This little boy has a good sense of fashion!

The photo competition is open until October 23rd. Capture your memories and inspire us!

October, 1st, 2012 A Business Trip to San Diego

Hi, this is Gokaichi. The other day, I took a business trip and went to an office at San Diego, California. The office there stood in a broad area with few buildings. It was quite cozy for me because I grew up in countryside, and I used to work at an office in a suburban town.

My mission this time was to study users behavior. I was aware of the difference between Japanese users and the US users from data perspective, but the study helped me understand the difference more in depth and in detail.

I just wish I could communicate better in English with local team. My study could have been even more fruitful if my English skill was higher. Where there is a will, there is a way. I need to keep up my work. See you!
