Notice of Collection, Use and Disclosure of Job Applicants’ Personal Information

Any information received from job applicants by Sony Digital Network Applications, Inc. (SDNA) shall be used solely for the purpose expressly set forth hereunder in accordance with SDNA’s privacy policy, the current version of which is located at: http://www.sonydna.com/sdna/e/privacy/index.html, and will not be disclosed to any third party except for the purpose hereof.


  1. Name of the company collecting/using personal information:
    Sony Digital Network Applications, Inc.
  2. Personal information to be collected:
    Name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and other personal information of the job applicant which is necessary for SDNA to know for the purpose as set forth below.
  3. Purpose of use of personal information:
    1. Communication with the job applicant
      (e.g. information of interview date, and notification of results of recruitment process)
    2. Review of the application materials for the employment;
    3. Reference to statistical data prepared by SDNA for SDNA’s future recruitment activities;
    4. Preparation of employee’s basic information materials for use in employment management within SDNA after a decision to recruit the applicant has been made.
  4. Voluntary provision:
    All personal information is provided on optional voluntary basis, but if the necessary information is not provided, SDNA do not have the responsibility to respond to the inquiry.
  5. Rights of control by the individual over personal information provided:
    In the case that the job applicant request SDNA at the contact set forth below to enable such job applicant to access to, correct, amend, update or delete the personal information that has been provided, after confirming the identity of the job applicant in question, SDNA will take action to comply with such request to a reasonable extent.
  6. Transfer of your information outside of your country:
    Personal information provided by the job applicants to SDNA will be processed, stored and transferred for the purposes of set forth in Section (3) above to SDNA which are located in Japan, outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and/or the country of the job applicant’s residence. Data protection and privacy laws in these countries may not offer the same level of protection as in the EEA and/or the country of the job applicant’s residence and the job applicant may have fewer legal rights in relation to its personal information.
  7. Security:
    SDNA will use all reasonable efforts to take all appropriate technical and organizational measures and precautions to keep all application information SDNA holds secure and protected from unauthorized access, use or alteration and unlawful destruction. SDNA will delete all personal information provided by the job applicant when the purpose of use prescribed in section (3) is fulfilled. Except for cases permitted under the related laws or regulations, SDNA will not disclose any personal information of the job applicant to third parties (other than those who SDNA has notified to a job applicant at the provision of its personal information to SDNA) without prior consent of such job applicant. In case SDNA discloses the personal information of a job applicant to a third party pursuant to this Section, SDNA shall cause such third party to perform the same obligations of SDNA as set forth with respect to the handling of personal information.
